The Finnish Seafarers’ Union negotiates and concludes collective bargaining agreements, which concern their members and also monitors that these agreements are being complied with.
Collective Bargaining Agreements
A collective bargaining agreement (CBA) is an agreement between the Finnish Seamen’s Union and the employer’s federation or an individual employer and it concerns those terms and conditions, which the employment contract and employment relationship must as a minimum, comply with.
The collective bargaining agreement defines e.g. minimum salaries, working times and overtime remuneration.
